Available Now! Hi! My name is Carlie; I'm 25 years old originally from Pennsylvania with a bachelors degree in Recreation Therapy and Child Life. Recreational Therapy is "a treatment service designed to restore, re-mediate and rehabilitate a person's level of functioning and independence in life activities". I spent 4 years working at a daycare as a teachers assistant while I was attending college. It was the perfect place for me, as I've always loved being around children. My time at the daycare has taught me the different developmental stages each child goes through and how to manage my time efficiently. It has also taught me responsibilities and how to be flexible. The biggest thing I have learned that I find most important is every child is different. So what works with one child will not work for every child. After college, I moved to California to further my babysitting skills Read more and become a family assistant. I was fortunate to work with a wonderful family that gave me that opportunity. My time with them was for a year and 3 months. I would of loved to stay with them, but they weren't able to give me the hours I wanted. During the year I have juggled working with multiple families that have been very good to me, but I am looking for something more full-time. I am flexible and can work whatever hours you need me to. Lets set up a phone interview and get to know each other. Looking forward to hearing from you and your little munchkin!
