I've been involved in working with kids in many different capacities since I was old enough to babysit. Growing up, I was always the town babysitter...the person always ready to work and earn my own money while doing something I thought was fun. After discovering I have a natural bond with children and really enjoyed being around them, I decided to study to become a language teacher while working for families in short term to long term roles. I've spend over 10 years working as a formal nanny, governess and English teacher, often helping kids learn French or Italian, which I also speak, with homework, bedtime routines, meal preparation, driving and accompanying to activities, administering medications, teaching formal lessons, inspiring creativity through projects and stories and overall being a positive influence in young lives. I'm educated to master's level and have certifications such as ESL teaching, Infant and Postpartum Care, Read more First Aid / CPR for all ages and am knowledgeable in Montessori and RIE philosophies and methods. For me, I love working with children because they are funny, creative, innocent and beautiful. Teaching them and helping them to learn the skills they need to grow is very rewarding, not to mention challenging...but a challenge I'm always up for an that helps me to grow as a professional. Getting to spend days walking around, playing at the park, going to the library, reading books, making discoveries at museums, creating beautiful art projects, etc. are all things I love to do as well. Being a childcare provider is a pleasure for me, not just a job. I'd love to hear how I could help your family out!
