My name is Benjamin Adams, and I am an assistant teacher for the various classes and programs offered at the Los Angeles Speech and Language Therapy Center. My experience in childcare started as a volunteer for the organization I currently work at, at the age of 12 as a "speech buddy" (volunteer assistant). For 8 years, I have volunteered, and then gone into a paid position as an assistant working with kids with disabilities. Not only that, but when I was young, I was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism, which gives me a unique disposition of having been in a child-like state of maturity and mind for longer than most thanks to my delay, and I have turned that into a great advantage that helps me connect with younger people more easily (this no longer affects me, I have overcome most negative aspects of autism, still working on tip-toe Read more walking and occasionally slip up on prepositions). I look forward to working with your child(ren).
