I am a very compassionate and empathetic caretaker who believes in using kindness and positive reinforcement to develop a child's independence and self esteem. I previously worked for a single mother with one son for 3 years (1 year old- 4 years old, then again as a baby sitter for the same child less frequently as he got older and went to school.) I do my best to instill kindness and love in children, and I try to foster a safe space to let children fully express themselves while maintaining expectations for behavior. I utilize "time-outs," discussions, and object confiscation for discipline. I am not a cook or housekeeper, but I always make sure children in my care are fed and in a safe and clean environment.
