Hi there, my name is Nina. I grew up in Chicago, but my new home is in Los Angeles. I have been babysitting in the summers and part-time for over 10 years. I have worked for many different, yet amazing families. From families of six to families of one, from newborns to teenagers, I have done it all! I also have experience as a teacher's aide for primary years. When I spend time with children, I try to keep them engaged. Whether it's running outside and playing sports or through interactive puzzles and board games, I think it's important to keep children stimulated by their surroundings and keep them curious about the world they live in! An extra side note: I'm fluent in French (I'm from a Francophone country) and took Arabic for over 6 years.

Nina filled in for us last summer to care for a 4 year old daughter & 5 year old son when our regular nanny was out on medical leave. What began as a last-minute scramble to find a one-week temp, turned into a six week stint with our family. Nina hit the ground running and almost seamlessly stepped into our routine. The kids loved her immediately! They had park and playground outings, played games, did crafts and she read to them frequently. She formed a bond with each as individuals. And while Nina was lots of fun with the kids, we parents were equally happy. She kept our busy schedule (camps, baths, all meals), helped around the house, and maintained our rules and discipline.. Although her style is different from mine, her easy nature seemed to eliminate some of the daily struggles while staying true to our fundamental values. I was particularly impressed that she asked about and adhered to our parenting philosophy - especially since it was a short term position and it would have been easy for her to do the minimum necessary to get by. Nina is intelligent, kind and genuinely loves to be around children. I would not hesitate to hire her again or recommend her wholeheartedly.
