Meet Anya

I have been caring for children for 6 years, as young as a couple weeks old to 12 years old, and up to seven at once. I lived in Australia for a year as an au pair for five children and absolutely loved the experience. I went to Uganda and Kenya for 3 months, volunteering in schools and orphanages in 2011.  I have nannied for a 3 month old and 2 year old little girls. Where I would watch them both, taking them to play groups, grocery shopping, library, walks, etc. The baby wore cloth diapers, so I have experience with how to change those diapers, but of course know how to change regular diapers as well. She also took breast-milk, so I know how to heat it properly and feed from a bottle. The baby also started eating cereal when I was around so once again I was there Read more for that milestone. My most recent job of two and half years was nannying for two children who are now ages 11 and 10, who are brother and sister. I got them ready in the morning for school ie. make breakfast, pack lunches, over see getting ready and take them to school. Then I picked them up from school and did homework with them and prepared a snack, then we had extra curricular activites I needed to take them to. Prepared and cook dinner for them, play, etc. until one of the parents gets home. I also watched them for 24/7 care, when the parents traveled for work, which could be up to 5 consecutive days. I had to say good bye to this wonderful family because I moved to Redondo Beach, but they live in Valencia...now here I am ready and eager to start new!
