Hello! My name is Samantha, and I graduated with a degree in education & psychology. During my time in college, I worked hard to stay on the dean's list each quarter, while fulfilling my extra time with volunteer work and childcare. For the past ten years, I have worked with children as a nanny, after school tutor, teacher's assistant, mentor, camp counselor, and pediatric Occupational Therapist volunteer. I have spent many years working with children who have experienced physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Needless to say, I am enormously dedicated to improving lives and working as a creative, engaging teacher.
I am extremely comfortable working with children in all age groups, family sizes, and needs.
What I appreciate and enjoy most of working with children is teaming up with the parents and becoming part of the family. To me, that component is extremely important and makes all the difference.
My philosophy is to treat each child uniquely based on their individual needs. I am not the typical babysitter who simply walks in and stares at your child for five or six hours. I believe in full engagment with interactive play that also reinforces desired behavior and learning.
I take my job very seriously, and that is something you can expect from me each and every day. I am very loyal to the people in my life, and treat each child and family with the same respect.
I look forward to hearing from you!
