I have been a nanny for 5+ years. I currently work for a family with 3 children. Ages 13 (boy, child is autistic) , 24 months(girl), and an 18 month old(girl). I decided to become a nanny because growing up in a Salvadorian family I was always around a lot of cousins. Baby cousins, teenage cousins, all ages. And i have always been the older cousin that would take care of the little ones. Of all the cousins, I have always been the responsible one. Not to mention I also helped raise my younger brother. Growing up with my mom being a single mom was always hard. She was never around to watch us grow up since she was always working, but i still made sure my brother ate, showered, and had a whatever he needed. Working with kids always brings joy to me. Being able to watch a child grow Read more up and develop a personality is always something to look forward to. Even if they're not my kids. I have always developed a relationship with the families and bonded with the children I've worked with. Activities that I always enjoy doing with kids involve helping them learn what is right, and what is wrong. Also, I like to help kids learn Spanish. As a reliever of doing so much all day, I like to end the day with a walk around the neighborhood, or trips to the park. Hearing a child laugh and have fun is always so heart warming. Seeing how interested with nature kids get is amazing.
