Graduating this May at the top of my class at Colorado College, I have significant experience working with children as a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor and backcountry trip leader. At Colorado College, I have worked for four years as a Writing Center Peer Tutor, Lifeguard, and a mentor for Latino adolescents. I have worked for four summers as a camp counselor and for three years as a mentor for at-risk youth. I have significant experience teaching art classes (ceramics, printmaking, drawing, painting, textiles) as well as classical piano, violin and bluegrass and Irish fiddle lessons. I have worked as a trip leader at camp and for Colorado College, leading backpacking, biking, and backcountry ski trips. I hold current first aid, CPR, Wilderness First Responder (80 hr. first aid course), and lifeguard certifications. I am planning on working as a nanny to save up for graduate school. I plan on going to medical school in the next five years but hope to work as a teacher for several years until then. I have ample references from the camps and families with whom I have worked and am happy to put you in contact with those people. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have!
