Ever since I was old enough to be a babysitter, I have been. As someone who was raised with all of my family in a 5 mile radius--and no shortage of people to watch me when my parents were away-- I thought of nannies as something glamorous: the beautiful beings who come to your home and enter your childhood world, never afraid to participate in the magic that lives there. Fresh after college in 2012, I went to Bali, Indonesia to teach English in a small village... and upon finishing my job, spent the rest of that year nannying for a 4-year-old girl. It wasn't long before her Montessori teacher recognized my love for children, and promptly offered me a job nannying for her boys-- 6 months and 2 years-- in Portland, Oregon the following Summer. While living in the Bay Area, I worked for 3 families-- for children aged Read more 9 months to 14 years-- and since returning home to Santa Barbara, have continued to follow my love for teaching and for children. I currently work part-time as the office manager for a Chiropractic office, which supports me in my "real" job: serving as the Artistic Director of local arts collaborative and teen leadership program, TOTEM. Right now, I am working to be able to afford my own place, and need a few extra hours of work per week in order to offset some of the costs associated with starting our collaborative! I sincerely love the Santa Barbara community, know it like the back of my hand, and would love nothing more than to add nannying back into my life. Hope to hear from you!

We can highly recommend Jenna. She took care of our girls for 8 hours while we were attending a wedding. She responded fast to all emails and texts, the kids liked her right away and there was no fussing when we left. She entertained the kids, ordered food for them and went above and beyond regular babysitter duties.
