I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2013 with a BFA in interrelated media (New Media Arts) and have been living in the East Bay, Berkeley and Oakland, since then. During my time in California, I have held a number of childcare and interior design positions. I've been babysitting since I was 13 years old and have worked for families in the greater Boston and Bay Areas for the past 12 years. I have experience working as a live-in nanny, babysitter, summer camp counselor and arts & crafts teacher. I enjoy working with both boys and girls and am comfortable caring for all ages, infant to elderly. While working as an arts and crafts director for the Girl Scouts, I gained experience identifying and employing varied skill sets, communicational abilities, and attitudes. The same can be said of my work with the Elliott School in Jamaica Plain, Read more Massachusetts and Harbor House Ministries in Oakland, California. As an arts instructor and tutor for both of these organizations, I’ve worked in partnership with other volunteers to keep urban youth off the streets and engaged in projects that promote creativity and alternative problem solving skills. At the moment, I’m looking for a babysitting and/or nannying position while I am applying to and waiting for placement with the Teach for America program and researching graduate programs in educational reform. I am a very creative, observant, and intuitive person. I like to involve the kids I work with in activities that will teach them something, whether that's going to a museum, learning a new game or instrument, or taking a hike on a local trail. I'm not afraid to get messy and I love to cook!

Becca was a wonderful addition to our family. Warm, talented, creative and fun, she made our summer vacation (two years is a row). She built strong connections with all three of our children, and we have some personalities. When challenges arose, she was patient, a good communicator, and an important collaborator. We have loved having Becca around--I jokingly asked her if there was anything she isn't good at--she is musical, artistic, can cook, and has a great sense of humor. We will miss her dearly!
