Hi! My name is Alexandra, and I am a student at Merritt College studying Environmental Sustainability and Education. I am very flexible, enthusiastic, and have a reliable car as well as a clean driving record. I love participating in my community, taking part in monthly art events, volunteering at food charity organizations as well taking part in multiple community gardens. I am the co-recipient of two grants over the last year involving urban farming and education. Last summer, along with my best friend and fellow nanny, we ran a two week long summer day camp that was funded by Sustainus. org. It was our goal to explore the greater Bay Area through outdoor activities and environmental education. The grant I received for this summer is through the Pollination project and goes towards the purchase and planting of native plants in and around my neighborhood. It will allow me to teach Read more my neighbors about the importance of native species in our community as well as creating a better and healthier environment for all. I love being interactive, playing with and teaching children. I would love to read with your kids or make art projects with them. I enjoy engaging them in fun activities to keep them happy and active. I like cooking/baking with children, gardening with them, and playing sports. I enjoy the outdoors through hiking, bicycling, and surfing. I believe it's best to let children run around and am very much willing to take them to playgrounds and parks! I am very familiar with homework help and basic tutoring. I have also spent a lot of time transporting children to/from school as well as to/from after school activities!
