Hello ! My name is Maria. I love children. This is what I was born to do. I have taken care of children of different ages. From newborns to pre-teens. I feel confortable with all ages. I am very nurturing, loving, easy to get along with and responsible in my duties. Besides raising my 34 yrs. old daughter all by myself, and my 8 years old granddaughter; I have been around children all of my life and taking care of my couisins, and friends children. I took care of my granddaughter full time for 2 straight years. My different experiences include several infants, toddlers and pre-teens. Duties have included: changing diapers, bottle feeding, bathing, making homemade food, playing with the babies, reading, taking out for a stroll, rocking to sleep. Teaching them, depending of their ages. Using Brainy Baby and Baby Einstein videos, as well as educational toys, books, cards and videos. I have Read more taught Spanish in more than one ocassion. One child was able to count from 1-10, knew her colors, shapes and ABC's in Spanish by the age of 18 months. She now knows them in English. I have done light housekeeping; making sure toy area is picked up. Kitchen is clean, laundry done and put away; sometimes ironing and even cooking. I have transported older children from and to school and other activities like the library, the park, etc. I have taken care of 2 teen girls for 21 days while mother out of town. Responsible for running the household, cooking, cleaning, laundry, helping with homework, etc. Did the same for 2 young teen boys on a daily basis. Have taken care of 4 children at the same time. Taking them to the park, watching movies, playing games, feeding them and spending the night with them.
