As the oldest child and being from a large extended family with 19 younger cousins and one nephew, I've grown up caring for kids all of my life. I began babysitting outside of the home at the age of 12 years and have always been a cautious, responsible, and independent person. I have a young spirit and take authentic pleasure in relating to kids at their level while still inspiring their creative potential and empowering them individually. I am drawn to children's enthusiasm, vibrance and wonderment about the world around them. I also believe that every child should have the opportunity to be kid, delighted by the simple things in life and able to take full advantage of all their unique potential. I strive to help each child see their own worth and value and to feel secure in their world. It was with this mindset that went back to Read more school for my Master's of Social Work after working in a lucrative but emotionally unfullfilling career for many years. I've recently transitioned from the East Coast to the West to pursue this career path further and connect to my passion of empowering children and young adults.
