I am the eldest of 6. Ever since I was a young child I have helped take care of all my siblings, and as I got older I helped raised two of my siblings. I have not had professional training to be a babysitter/nanny, but I have had over 17 years experience with children. My parents taught me to change my sister's diaper at about six years old, and from there I learned everything there was to know about kids. My parents informed me of the stances and changes of eating habits babies have over years, what to do when they are collacky, how to lay them down at certain ages, how to be stern but not aggressive with children when they are reluctant to listening, and how to make them feel safe and taken care of. I also know that there's not a time you can keep your eyes Read more off of kids, because they are so outgoing that anything can happen in the blink of an eye. On top of my experience with my five siblings, I also babysat for members of a country club I worked at back home. I moved from Stockton for school, and in Stockton I worked for various members doing various things. I watched some kids for people just so they could have some alone time to get their nails done, run some errands, or go work out. I babysat kids of older ages 10-15 and I also babysat younger kids 6 months to 9 years. I did have experience working with an autistic child, so I learned the ways to handle their attention needs and their energetic attitudes. I feel that my experiences with children has shaped me to really understand what kids want and how to communicate with them in a way they respond and appreciate. On top of babysitting, I did some dog and house sitting for members who traveled quite a bit. I dog sat for about 5 dogs and 2 cats regularly, and some other individuals would have me help them on occasion. I would do various jobs of visiting the homes just to feed and play with the dogs for a few hours everyday as well as staying at the house to take care of the dogs and the house. My duties included checking the mail, picking up dog poop, washing laundry, doing dishes, doing grocery shopping before the arrival of the homeowners, walking the dogs, getting cars washed, and many more. My love for dogs is tremendous, and I wish I could have a dog if my own, but with being in college I just don't have the money to support an animal to the best of my ability. I love children and dogs, and I hope that you give me the opportunity to meet yours!

Veronica had helped us for about 2 months with my 3 kids. They really enjoy being with her. We had a fairly structured day set out for the kids and she was able to follow with ease. She is tentative and adapt quickly to our style. Thank you
