Hello! My name is Madeleine and I am finishing my sophomore year at Bethel University. I am looking for a summer nannying job from May 20 to August 14. I have 7 years of experience as a nanny/babysitter in multiple settings, including group childcare for events, family babysitting, and the special needs community. I have experience providing after school care, assisting kids with homework, preparing dinner, transportation, and doing housekeeping/general tidying. References from families I have worked with in the past can be provided upon request! What I bring to the families and children I care for: Safety: Always first are the safety and individual needs of those I am caring for. I understand that every child may need unique support, care, or encouragement and I take this into consideration during every job. I have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and always take care to be Read more aware of the safety of kids at all times. Caregiving is a large responsibility and one I do not take lightly! Communication: Being away from people you care so much about can be daunting at times! I understand that some parents may want updates throughout the evening about how everything is going, and I make an effort to provide that communication so you will feel more comfortable. I will adhere to any family rules/parameters you have set to maintain a consistent family dynamic. Friendship: Building positive relationships with the kids I work with is so important to me as a passionate childcare provider! I am not looking for a job where I can simply get “paid to do homework”. When the kids are having fun, I’m having fun! Whether this is quality interaction through playing games, reading a book, acting out a story, going on an adventure, encouragement with homework, or just goofing around, I always want kids to feel comfortable around me so that our time together is fun and constructive. Cooking/cleaning: I have experience with both cooking and cleaning! I have cooked dinner many times for kids and have experience preparing vegan, vegetarian, and other specialty meals. I have lots of cleaning/housework experience and will work with the needs of each family in that respect. Pets: Love 'em! Certifications: 7 years of experience in childcare CPR and first aid training will be renewed at end of May (certification recently expired from previous training) Clean driving record
