Private Childcare - 2006 - 2008. full time infant care for family. Provided care for infant, and kept household for family. The family moved ending our arrangement. Nanny Agency - Take A Break 2008 - 2012 Worked for agency as on call nanny for families visiting Napa Valley area. I traveled to different hotels in that area and provided on site care. Worked with ages 0-14 and also babysat for parties, weddings, and business meetings and dinners for large groups of children of all ages, and often with other childcare providers. Boys and Girls Club of El Sobrante - 2009-2010 Youth Counselor, Power hour Coordinator- which was an hour of supervised homework and/or studying scheduled after school was let out, before free play, or other class/group options. I supervised and tutored ages 7-17. But I was usually with the teens for tutoring. During 2012-2013 I was going to school full Read more time for Medical Assisting, and working part time with the Nanny Agency when I could. 2013-2015 I worked as a medical assistant for Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Pediatric Department. I am currently working as a private childcare provider, for a family with two children, 7 years old and 9 years old, I have worked with this family since the youngest was 6 months old! The youngest is finally gearing up for kindergarten and my hours will be reducing to 1pm to 5pm. I am currently looking for something that begins sometime in late august early September, part time and consistent. Other good to know facts: I have a drivers license, and a reliable car. I have been trained and certified in infant/child as well as adult First Aid, and CPR. It does lapse this year and I will need to renew it. I love art, yoga, sports (especially basket ball and volley ball), I enjoy the outdoors, walks and parks, I love to paint, draw, and in my spare time do so often. I love music, singing, and reading. I love my pets, my cats are my babies, and I'll love your pets too! Most important of all I love working with children.

Words cannot express my gratitude for this young woman. Not only did she take excellent care of my 11 month old but she truly loved her as her own. I would hire her again in a second. Emily is warm, nurturing, patient, responsible, tactful, fun, creative, enthusiastic, thoughtful and respectful. She is truly an angel. She helped me out during a very stressful time in my life and I wish I could have employed her longer!!! Any family that welcomes Emily into their home will not want to let her go. She is a friend for life. Emily watched my baby girl for 14 hour stretches and when I came home exhausted, she already had my girl asleep and a bottle ready for her if she woke up. Emily looks ahead and can see where she is needed and what needs to be done. She helped me learn how to transition from holding my baby girl in my arms to waving goodbye when I go to work. Eventually my girl started to wave me goodbye and didn't even cry anymore. Truly a miracle. My Maia loved her and is missing her very much.
