Hello I am a SDSU student graduating in December with a bachelors degree in Liberal Studies. I am going to school to be a elementary school teacher. I also have an Associates degree in Psychology. I love working with children and love being apart of their growth and learning process. I am a fun, creative, and dependable person that loves doing things outdoors with children. I have a lot of experience working with children in all age ranges. I worked at an after-school program for junior high and assisted teaching cooking and arts and crafts class. I worked with City of Poway for 6.5 years in parks and recreation department. During my time I planned and set up special events for the community and taught arts and crafts to children in the community. I also worked at a summer camp as a camp counselor and was the activity leader. I Read more planned arts and crafts and special activities for a camp of 60 children from 5-17 years old. I am currently working for Poway Unified School District as an ESS program aide. During my years of experience I have gained knowledge in how to manage children and how to help children succeed. Working with children is my passion and I have been told by people that I am amazing with children. I would love to do arts and crafts, games, play outdoor, and help your children with their homework. I also love story time as I believe reading is crucial for children, as Dr. Suess says... “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” I have been working since I was 16 years old and have developed great work ethic and very dependable. I am also CPR and first Aid trained. I will end my bio on one of favorite quotes, “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” (Dr. Seuss). :) Thank you for your time, Amanda
