I have been a professional childcare provider for the past 9 years and I have several years experience working with infants, toddlers and school aged children. During high-school I discovered my passion for working with children when I enrolled in a one year early childhood education program. I received first hand experience as a preschool teacher, where I rotated with a team of students as lead teacher. We were responsible for creating lesson plans and teaching in a classroom of 15 students. I also spent time as a teacher's aide in a special needs school with preschool aged children. In college I had the opportunity to spend my summers teaching theatre and directing children in plays. I love my work as a nanny because I am truly passionate about encouraging children to nurture their imagination through self guided play. I have Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre and am I currently enrolled in Early Childhood Education courses at El Camino College. I will have earned 6 ECE units by the end of July. I plan to continue my studies in order obtain an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I am CPR/First Aid certified and have a recent TB clearance along with being current on all required immunizations.
