I began to babysit around 12 years old, by helping at a church nursery. Throughout high school, I would babysit for family members and friends. In college, I volunteered at a preschool that serves special needs children. Since I graduated with a BS in kinesiology and two minors in mathematics and biology, I have served as an AmeriCorps member. My service site is a children's mental health facility, where I work with diverse populations of children and caregivers. I provide play care to children while parents take classes, at which I help develop a curriculum of skills, a craft, and an activity. I enjoy creating fun activities that allow children to explore in kinesthetic and tactile ways. Starting in fall, I will be working on my MA in human rights education at the University of San Francisco. I have been CPR / first aide certified in the past, and I Read more am willing to renew if needed. I have received many trainings that have helped me grow as someone that works with children. I have a 4-door sedan that is fully insured. I have experience working with all ages of children, from infants to teenagers. I also enjoy working with pets, and have no fear of exotic pets.
