Ivy assisted me for almost two weeks. Her references provided her with strong recommendations and had wonderful things to say about her. She had diverse experiences working with a wide range of age groups, including newborns. She picked up my four-year-old from school and was on time. She assisted with bringing her home, engaging her in educational activities, bathing her, cleaning up and preparing her meals. She generally had a positive attitude and I appreciated her help. My daughter responded well to her. We ran into a communication issue, as she committed to working with my family and the next week committed to working with another family without communicating that she was still looking. She did offer to stay with me for an additional few weeks, but it didn't seem fair to my child to bring her on and have her leave within a matter of weeks. She was less than forthcoming, given the close timing of the two positions. Of the nannies and babysitters that I've hired, she's neither the worst nor the best.
