Hi! My name is Shelby Barkley and I am a 21 year old cadet earning my degree in Psychology at the Virginia Military Institute. I have an emphasis is child development and one day hope to become a counselor for children in need. A little bit about me is that I am on an athletic scholarship for Water polo at VMI, which is a Division 1 program. I am also originally from Riverside, CA which is where I will be living during my time off from school. I am great with children and have always been babysitters for my younger cousins and was an assistant to Sunday school teachers at my church during middle and high school, serving from newborns to age 11 children. I love to cook and bake and have always been known for being mature and responsible even in critical situations.
