I started babysitting in the 7th grade at age 12. I was a member of a Philanthropic Organization, National Charity League South Placer County for 7 years (7th grade through High School graduation) which allowed me the opportunity to volunteer with many organizations within my community. My favorite volunteer opportunity was at The Roseville Rec Center, an after-school program for underprivileged children. I tutored kids in kindergarten through 6th grades in English, math, social studies and taught kids to read. I volunteered for Special Olympics in Sacramento, where I got to see such heartwarming faces of joy after hard work and then satisfying their goals. Both of these experiences and events allowed me to work with a variety of children and has helped me expand my interest in Child Psychology.
