A couple months ago, we were excited to meet Nikki after having had a great phone screen and subsequent emails where she proactively provided her resume and references and stated how excited she was to meet our family in a few days. On the morning we were scheduled to interview her, we waited around with the whole family and she never showed. 20 minutes passed...I called her cell to see if she was running late but no response. An hour passed, I texted her to see if she was okay, thinking she was in an accident. No response all day. I followed up by email that night; no reply from her. We were genuinely worried something bad had happened to her. I texted her a couple days later to follow-up; no reply. Then we see that she's logged into sittercity almost everyday since then, so apparently nothing terrible happened to her. It's difficult to understand why someone would be so unprofessional and disrespectful to not even apologize or follow up on why they completely blew off the interview. If she changed her mind and was no longer interested, she could've simply informed us rather than wasting our precious family time waiting around for her and then causing us to worry that something bad happened to her. We are nice, understanding people. The only reason we decided to write this review is to caution other employers about her nature/values; I would want to know before taking the time to consider her as a caregiver for my children. Fortunately we discovered her unreliability and unprofessionalism before we had a chance to employ her.
