Hello! My name is Emily and I am receiving my Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University. I interned this past year at Head Start programs where I provided support for parents and teachers at preschools for low income families. Before my masters, I was an Instructional Assistant for a Special Education classroom in the San Dieguito District. My experience with children also comes from my three summers as an overnight camp counselor. As a counselor, I provided 24-hour supervision of cabin of ten girls aged 11-15 years for two months. I volunteered in Ghana, West Africa for a month teaching math and English to Ghanaian children. I was also a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor in High School.
