After completing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I began pursuing a Master's degree in Elementary Education at DePaul University in Chicago. Due to my recent relocation to San Francisco, I have taken a break from my education and am looking to continue embracing my passion for working with children through babysitting/nannying. I absolutely love kids and have been babysitting for about 10 years. I have worked on a regular 5 day-a-week basis with families, and have also done weekend and as-needed sitting. I spent the last 5 months providing after-school care for a very happy and energetic kindergartener in the Richmond area. Prior to moving to San Francisco, I spent 7 months working 4-5 days a week for a Chicago family, which consisted of full-time summer care and part-time school-year care for two wonderful kids (a 9 year-old girl and 6 year-old boy). In addition to a great deal of Read more experience as a full-time day to day sitter for a wide range of ages, I know basic first aid and have experience volunteering at the Crisis Nursery of central Illinois (which involved care for children 1-5 years of age), as well as the birth center at Good Shepherd Hospital. I believe strongly in embracing positive energy and ensuring a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere. My general philosophy is if the kids are happy, I'm happy!
