My Mom who loved children and had a real heart to influence their lives for good ran a daycare in our home for 25 years with 6-12 children ranging in ages from newborn- school age. So I grew up around lots of kids and as soon as I was old enough started working with her. As soon as I graduated from high school I started working with her full time and took over many of the resposibilities for the next 10 years... teaching preschool, preparing meals, changing diapers, keeping the house clean and picked up, picking up kids from school, helping with homework, keeping up relationship with the parents, taking up to 6 kids at a time on my own out for a field trip and many other responsibilites that go along with the needs of children. Also in those 10 years I always kept up to date with first Read more aid and CPR certification. We felt like the kids and parents were more like family and enjoyed the relationship to where we still keep in touch with many of them and get together on occasion for fun and major life events. Sadly my mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 so we closed the daycare and I began taking care of her full time until she passed away in 2014. Thankful for all the love she passed down to me and the desire to have an impact on children's lives for good. I got married in 2015 and was a nanny for 3 kids for a little less than a year . I’m now a Mom of 2 kids ages 6 months and almost 3 yrs. So right now I am hoping to find 1 or 2 kids to take care of here at our home in Rancho Bernardo. I see it as an opportunity to build new relationships with another Mom and our kids...not just a job. :)
