My love of caring for children started when my little sister was born about 9 and a half years ago. I was constantly babysitting her, changing her diapers, feeding her, putting her down for naps, playing with her and most of all loving her and the time I got to spend with her. Helping raise kids is one of the most amazing and rewarding jobs I have ever had. I have also watched and cared for other young family members and some friend's children. I still to this day pickup my little sister from school and look after her and my stepsister occasionally. I've worked with kids of all ages: Newborns, toddlers, elementary and even middle school-aged kids. I worked for an after-school care program at St. Didacus School and Parish in North Park for a year. The duties I performed there included: Preparing snack, helping with homework (grades kindergarten Read more through eighth), watching over play time as well as partaking in playing games with the children, doing arts and crafts, and helping sort out arguments between the children in a caring, fair and positive way. This job really gave me a better handle on working with kids from all different ages and backgrounds as well as kids with different needs. I am a very positive, active, caring and loving person. I am an animal lover, so if you have pets they will definitely get some love and attention as well. I can't wait to help you with your little ones!
