I was raised in a very quaint town in Utah where family values were held at a very high standard for most folks. When I was sent home with book orders from my teachers, I was constantly drawn to the babysitting books to get more ideas on fun things to do with the kids that I watched regularly. Babysitting gave me experience with infants and young children. Once I graduated high school I became a substitute teacher for a year and taught a variety of ages from special needs preschool to 8th grade students. I relocated to St. George, Utah and was hired as a nanny for two children; ages 11 and 13 at the time. It was the most rewarding "job" I have had so far. We spent a lot of time with personal development, outdoor activities such as swimming and biking, studying homework, and learning about many things Read more that came up in our days together. I am naturally a very upbeat, positive person. I take feedback very well and strive to improve on anything that may be lacking. I live an active lifestyle outside of my work life and hope to have the opportunity to explore fun (and safe) activities with children. One thing that is very important to me in a potential opportunity is for the parent(s) and myself to be a team and work together on expectations and trust as well as have an understanding that I am not there to replace anyone, but I am there to enhance the lives of the child (or children) and the parent(s) and anyone else involved. I would be very honored to discuss my candidacy further with you at your convenience.
