Hello, my name is Charlotte, and I'm really excited to be in search of a family to connect with and potentially provide childcare for! I moved to San Diego one I graduated college in May of 2014, and have been loving it ever since! At that time, I discovered a new school in San Diego called the Leeway Sudbury School, which was a democratic free school modeled after the awesome school that I attended as a child (Sudbury Valley School)! There, I worked diligently but also quite joyfully at Leeway, using my perspective as a previous student of the original Sudbury school, along with the creative and analytic thinking I practiced as a Philosophy major in college, to help make the school the best that it could be for its students. Unfortunately, When interacting with children, I am conscientious to make sure that I treat them with the fairness, respect, Read more and trust that they deserve. When working with any child, I carefully listen to them, so that they may lead the way, and that I am available as their resource along the path of their own unique journey wherever it leads. That is, as long as the journey is a safe one! Safety is of course my number one concern when caring for children.
