I love working with kids and my future goals involve them. I am currently in school studying child development. I plan on becoming a preschool teacher and later a social worker. I knew at an early age that I wanted to work with children and now I would like to gain as much experience as I can. I started out at age 13 as a neighborhood sitter during my summer vacations. I have experience with a wide age range (newborn to pre-teen). I even have some experience with multiples and special needs. I am very flexible in terms of attitude. I can easily adapt to a family's lifestyle. I am also very punctual and professional. With the children, I am nurturing yet stern when I need to be. I have an inner child who doesn't mind getting down and dirty with the little ones! In fact, one of my favorite Read more things to do with the kids is getting my hands messy through art or other tactile play. :) My main goal is to inspire as many children as I can. A little inspiration opens up worlds of possibilities.

Our family loves Marquita. She watches our 2 children for occasional date nights a couple times a month. She is always on time, always happy and most importantly my kids always have a great time with her! She is also very educated in child care and knows her stuff!

We hired Marquita for the first time tonight, to babysit our 8 year old son and nearly 3 year old daughter. I'll admit, I was a bit apprehensive, since my daughter normally does display some separation anxiety. However, she didn't display any separation anxiety. Marquita even impressed me by exciting my kids about going to the park, prior to my husband and I leaving the house. I am totally pleased with the outcome. My kids were fed and happy upon my and my husband's return home. We'll certainly hire Marquita again for our babysitting needs and will even consider her as our regular sitter. Thanks again Marquita!
