I am a patient, fun-loving and interactive nanny who can provide part-time and/or occasional care. I have been providing part-time care for my current family with a sweet 5 month old and spunky (almost) 2 year old for over a year and a half. The development that a child undergoes in the earliest years of life is incredible. Being able to play a part in that growth and development is a gift. I love to engage budding intellects with plenty of developmentally appropriate activities. We live in an area that has some of the best weather in the world, which makes it easy to encourage outdoor and physically active play. Babies and children enjoy little adventures. The children I care for will often find themselves taking a ferry to Coronado to play at Tidelands, exploring the New Children's Museum, or getting an up-close view of the aquatic life at Birch Read more Aquarium. I also enjoy engaging children in educational and stimulating indoor activities. I have extensive experience with children of all ages. Whether they are advancing through life with no problems, or need a little extra help, I am here to provide a stable and loving environment for them. I have excellent references, a clean driving record, a background check and safe, reliable transportation. I have extensive infant experience and can engage them in activities that will further their development, like baby sign language and tummy time. I am also experienced with cloth diapering, all-types of infant carriers, making baby food, potty training, and sleep training. I have 13 years of experience as a youth horseback riding instructor. I have traveled with my students to horse shows and ran a summer day camp program, in addition to giving lessons through a therapeutic riding program. I have been a professional nanny for the last seven and am a member of the International Nanny Association. I have watched infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age, and special needs children (I have experience with Epilepsy, ADHD, ODD, Dyslexia, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and autism spectrum). I have provided overnight care for nurses, doctors and military families, so I understand the need for a flexible sitter/nanny who can work long hours. I have excellent organizational and time management skills. I have memberships to: *San Diego Zoo and Safari Park *The NAT*Sea World *New Children's Museum

Kristen was a great help to us! I was a little nervous leaving our 15 month old, since she's developed a lot of separation anxiety lately, but Kristen dealt with it well and when we came back from an evening out our daughter was changed, in her pajamas, and sleeping in her bed. Kristen had glowing references and a lot of experience.

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
