I moved to San Diego recently to work as an assistant teacher in a Montessori primary classroom (ages 2.5-6) while I save up to pursue training as a head guide. I am warm, caring, and fun, but also know how to set boundaries.
I studied anthropology/sociology, neuroscience, and elementary education as an undergraduate and education as a graduate student at UVA. I aspire to be an elementary school teacher in a Montessori school, a writer, and an activist for educational reform. I have four siblings from ages 10 to 16, whom I have been babysitting since they were born. I have been babysitting other children of various ages in different locations since I was in middle school. I worked as a nanny right out of college and then in two preschools in Tennessee before returning to school for my master's degree. I love children, and I look forward to connecting with some families here in San Diego!
I am looking for a full time nanny position this summer. Depending on the opportunity, I may be able to make myself available before the summer. I look forward to finding a good match!
