Hi! To give some background on myself, I am the youngest of 4 children from Richmond, Virginia. I have 7 nieces and nephews (from a year and a half to 10), so I've grown up caring for kids. All through high school, college, and post-college, I've babysat for a range of families. I did my first overnight trip when I was 18 -- I spent two weeks in Martha's Vineyard with a family where I was in a separate house with the two boys, Sam (10 months) and Spencer (4). While at the University of Virginia, I was in charge of the Tutoring Program for the entire University. I have experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students in reading, math, and writing. After graduation, I spent two years in New York working for Bloomberg and participated in a mentoring program while there. About a year and a half ago, Read more I moved to San Francisco to work for IDEO.org, the nonprofit arm of the design and innovation firm IDEO. I currently work as an Account Manager at a startup, but beginning in August, I'll be teaching 5th and 6th grade humanities at the Town School in San Francisco. I am looking for both babysitting opportunities (after work) or a nanny job this summer before starting at Town. I don't know many families here with children so would love to meet a few!
