Hello, I am a positive, energetic recent college graduate who loves to stay active and involved through hiking, biking, reading, yoga, philanthropies, and travel!  I grew up in sunny San Diego and moved to Northern California to attend Sonoma State University. I graduated last May with a degree in Human Development, specializing in Child Development, and a degree in English, specializing in Creative Writing.  I have just returned to San Diego after teaching English in Thailand to children of all ages for six months and am currently looking for a child-care job.  This position was challenging in a complete English immersion setting, so rewarding and fun at the same time. I have been babysitting my siblings, cousins and neighbors since I was in high school and have worked at camps and after-school programs for four years throughout college at the YMCA.  I work with mostly elementary school children, but have Read more experience with all ages and recently became an Aunt when my nephew Aiden was born in October.  One of my favorite experiences as a child care provider occurred when I had the opportunity to work at a science camp two summers ago.  I helped lead science experiments and supervise field trips and even though the kids called me Algae (my camp name) all summer, it was extremely fun and rewarding. In college I was the Vice President of my sorority and also enjoyed other leadership positions as social chair and an executive council member.  I have some editing and writing experience after  serving an internship at a Dad/Kid publishing company, WonderDads in northern California and also have administrative experience from working at an organic farm and on my college campus. I love to stay busy and enjoy life to the fullest.  I look forward to caring for a fun, creative family who enjoys staying active!
