I am seeking a weekend/date night nanny position. Here is more about me: I see myself not only as nanny, but as a family assistant. I currently work for a great family of 3 in San Francisco. Construct playtime to be a learning and fun experiences. Follow guidelines on food, sleeping habits and boundaries. Cook as needed, grocery shop, errands, and domestic travel. Prior to my SF position, I was a live-in nanny in San Ramon. My days would begin with cooking breakfast for the entire family of 4 that may include several courses and different dishes. Make lunch for 5 year old who is a picky eater. Make lunch for husband and protein shake. Then to proceed to Read more take 5 year old to school or camp on time. Make lunch for wife who works from home. Do 75% shopping, do 75% cooking for dinner, do all cleaning (except deep which is 2x a month) and do all errands which includes fixing toilets, assemble of furniture, taking cars to be repaired, dry-cleaning, and misc duties that may arise. Clean closets, laundry and organizing. Make organic baby food for 10 month old. This job is 60-65 hours a week. Previously, I began working as a nanny for a family when a son was born and the parent who worked at night as a nurse. Here is a brief description of how a day of responsibilities would entail at a former employer's household: My responsibilities for Wendy would include: food preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Provided hands-on learning with board games, trips to the zoo, cooking lessons, and daily outside playtime. Wendy would leave for conferences, work weekends and when breaks in service I was able at time to enhance my skills in the administrative field working full-time in hospitals during the week. I am (expired, update pending) trust-line, a certified Medical Assistant and a great cook. Here is more about Wendy's household: Experience taking care of a special needs child (1995-2005) hospice nurse to mother (2005-2006) and twins-grandchildren (2008-2010) and 1 grand-child since 2010 from a different family member. My employer is a nurse with years experience running a small care-giving agency. My experience is vast, and my work-ethic is something I am proud of...and working with kids brings me joy daily.

Karmen has been a fantastic nanny for our son for the past 15 months, since he was 10 months old. When she first started working with us, our son was showing the first signs of picky eating. She concocted tofu and fruit pancakes which he loved and since then has been feeding him all sorts of great and varied foods - from tamales to lasagna to turkey sandwiches. She is very intuitive and figured out to let our son try things for himself when he falls into a tantrum at having his diaper changed for example or getting into the car seat or stroller. The result: he now buckles his own car seat, wants to wipe his own bottom. Karmen helped us through a challenging transition as well: moving to a new house. We have trusted her not only with our boy but also with our car, our credit card, our home. She has managed the comings and goings of contractors working on the new house, and run endless errands for me, somehow with our son in tow, something I am never able to accomplish. She has a nice style with discipline, firm but gentle and truly I credit her with taming our little wild man. He sits at the table and holds a fork now, he sleeps in his crib, many things would not be as they are here if not for Karmen's gentle and persistent work. I was eating on the floor with this child, covered in tears and oatmeal not long ago and she was a calming influence, managing my tantrums as a new mom as well as my son's. Karmen is relentlessly on time, she rarely calls in sick, and is dependable as they come, as well as flexible. If you need to be late, just text her! If we were not into the pre-school zone with our son and also now focusing more on his spanish language, we would keep her on the payroll. I have traveled with her on two occasions to visit my parents out of state and she was so helpful in the airports and on our trip. I cannot recommend her highly enough and hope this letter will support her in finding a wonderful new family.
