My enthusiasm for child care began years ago while volunteering at an orphanage during a language program in Santiago, Chile. Once I returned I couldn't wait to make it part of my life. While still in high school I started working every afternoon with a family of three children ages 3, 5 and 7. To this day I see them as family and cannot believe the oldest now attends high school. I continued to work while attending school. Some families have employed me for both date nights and to assist with transportation to after school events. I was introduced to other families through them over the years. I have worked with all ages, including twins. The families have introduced me to a variety of parenting methods, preferences, and childhood education. I enjoy using these experiences to find a balance with each new family. I have taken a few months to Read more be with my son who was born 11/17. My hope is to continue to provide childcare to another child alongside him during the day. We live in a quiet neighborhood in a single family home. I feel this is a great opportunity for both children to have a playmate, in a quieter setting than a daycare might provide. Depending on the day we might go to the park, play in the backyard, practice cooking (age appropriate), or join others at the library or play space. I look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have. Thank you.
