Hello! My name is Melissa Baxter and I have worked with kids for over 8 years now. My whole life I have actually been exposed to children learning and growing. My mother has run an in home care facility my whole life, So I'm very experienced with all types of children and behaviors. I have also taught theater classes for children ages 4-12 for 4 years as the lead teacher at Children's Musical Theater, which was called " Best Theater Class" by Bay Area Parent magazine all four years I was teaching. During that time I also nannied a family for 4 years and it was the most rewarding and loving experience I have ever had. I grew up playing competitive soccer for years but pursued my love for the theater and went on to complete the Foothill Theater Conservatory, as well as receive my AA in Theater Arts. I Read more have been working as professional actor in the bay area for 4 years now. During the day right now I work as a photography assistant, which is another passion of mine, but I'm finding myself at a desk for hours on end. I miss working with kids and the energy and the creativity it takes. I love the outdoors, arts and crafts and learning! That's where you come in! I'd love to work wth kids again and this seems like a great fit! I would love to care for you're child and have a ton of fun together!
