I’ve had the pleasure of working as a nanny/family assistant for the past twenty years. I spent eighteen in Piedmont working two long term jobs. Each job entailed not only care of the children, but also each family’s beloved dog and to some extent even the parents. I like to think of myself as a housewife for hire. I’ve been tasked with care of the home, children,pets and cars. Often times my day consists of laundry,straightening up,figuring out play dates stetting up carpools and running multiple errands. Chaos aside, the best part of my job has been all the various little moments I’ve had through the years with the children I’ve been privileged to work with.
