Hi! My name is Lauren and I have been working with children in various manners for about 5 years. I am extremely enthusiastic and active when it comes to kids! I excel pretend play and imaginative games, and work hard to keep children entertained with both fun and educational activities. I find that reading to the little ones is extremely important and helps them later in life! I am well versed in all the developmental stages in the lives of young children, both physically and cognitively, so I know exactly what to do to help at all stages! I have volunteered at a summer camp for 4 years as a child care assistant working with Preschool, Kindergarten and 3rd and 4th graders. I have experience working with autism and learning disorders. I also worked as a church preschool teacher (ages 2-3) for 3 years, and have looked after children from Read more ages 3 months to 10. As a preschool teacher I was responsible for assisting with learning and crafts for the entire class as well as one on one time with individual children playing or talking. While looking after and babysitting children, I have been responsible for meals, structured activities, free play, and also basic cleaning around the house. I absolutely love kids and the opportunity to make a difference in families' lives!
