I spent 6 years caring for a little girl with mild development disorder, diabetes, and ADHD. I also cared for other children with special needs, such as dyslexia and anxiety. After the kids grew up, I spent the last few years as a martial arts teacher for kids. Due to a back injury, I can no longer teach, so I thought to go back to my roots: being a nanny. I am certified in CPR and First aid administration through the American Heart Association. I try to stay away from using electronics to distract kids unless it's for educational purposes. I find that telling some funny stories and a little physical activity can go a long way. I also do housekeeping, laundry, cooking, etc.
