I have three years experience teaching children in preschool. The first year teaching children 3-5 years of age, and the last two years teaching toddlers 1-2 years of age. I created a monthly age-appropriate curriculum covering all areas of science and sensory exploration, early mathematics, literacy, social/emotional studies, technology and engineering, and health and hygiene. By having structured activities and keeping to a daily schedule, children knew what to expect each day when arriving to school, allowing for a comfortable and fun environment. I personally enjoy an active lifestyle and believe children benefit from this as well. I would love to transfer my teaching skills over into a nanny position where the child can receive one-on-one attention. Because of my background, I have lots of knowledge of the early childhood developmental stages and milestones and am excited to help a family in need of some assistance.
