I am a full time school guidance counselor working with high school students in Los Angeles. I am looking to make some extra cash, and am available nights and weekends. I have a masters in education, and extensive experience working with children of all ages. I have always found working with children to be extremely rewarding. I believe that my babysitting background, were some of the first experiences that drove me to pursue a career in working with children. I began by acting as a mother's helper since I was 11 years old, helping her with her newborn child. Upon reaching the age of 12, I was babysitting consistently for multiple families. I have watched all age groups, and have provided services from standard child supervision, to helping children with their homework, carpooling, and light cooking and house work. I have also had nanny jobs, where I had regular hours Read more with various families, watching their children at least 2x a week. While a nanny I did everything from naptime/bed time, homework help, playing games with the children, and preparing their lunch or dinner. In addition to babysitting, I also have experience in early childhood development. While in college I interned at the Children's museum of Indianapolis, where I assisted teachers in pre-school classes, and helped implement learning development programs. I also, interned at the Guidance Center in New Rochelle, NY. I worked at their Therapeutic Nursery where I worked with special needs children, and provided behavioral modification solutions to help them with their developmental issues. I am currently available Weekday evenings after 5pm, and weekends.
