I have been passionate about teaching and helping children learn for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was always the trusted baby sitter for family and friends which helped to kick start my love for children. After high school I began to pursue a career in childcare and I continue to further my early childhood education as well as my understanding and patience for children. My two year old daughter has been a huge influence on my journey to becoming a better teacher and she continues to teach me and help me grow everyday. Pre-School Enrichment- Southlake, Tx Lead Teacher 3/2014-3/2015 • Provide childcare to children ages 18 months to 3 years old. I was required to create monthly lesson plans that taught letter and number recognition, motor and social skills, tracing, music and movement, colors, shapes, senses, handwriting and tracing. Communicating with other teachers as well Read more as parents was also a big part of helping the children learn and develop. Nanny- Hurst, Tx 8/2012-3/2014 • Provide full time infant childcare to a local family. This position was very hands on and required me to be with the child most days, weekends, and some nights.
