I have been babysitting for more than 20 years. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in English. As a lifelong bookworm, I worked in a library for 16 years. I assisted the child librarian, helping with storytime, homework, and crafts. I'm naturally maternal and have a special affection for and connection with children. I'm an artist as well and enjoy teaching children how to paint and draw. I studied drawing and painting at the Art Institute of Chicago. It is so gratifying to share my passion for books and the arts with children. I'm very physically active and adore being outdoors. Jenny has been babysitting our daughter since she was 4 months old (and is almost an year old now) over the weekends and still continues to babysit our daughter. Jenny is awesome. She constantly talks to our daughter, teaches her to explore her environment and actively engages her. She has also always been on time and prompt in working out schedules. We plan to continue to have her take care of our daughter - but since she has been so good, we also wanted to share a review.

I contacted the people Jenny listed as references and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. I met her yesterday when she sat for my 8-year-old. She was very punctual (despite the bad weather we were having) and polite. She came across as soft-spoken and highly educated. I was extremely pleased.
