First and foremost, I love children. I love playing and I love teaching. I think every age is wonderfully special and exciting. I have babysat many times, but I have three formal experiences for which I can provide references. First, I nannied part-time for a 2 and 4 year old girl and boy for approximately 2 years. We played and laughed and read stories. Next, I nannied for another boy and girl for a year, 8 and 10 years old. I picked them up from school, took them to after school activities, supervised homework, and prepared dinner for them. I also read with them--I love doing fun voices! My third nanny experience was 6 months long when a woman I knew had her first child. My purpose was to relieve her as she got her bearings, offering whatever she needed. Sometimes that meant taking care of her beautiful baby while Read more she napped or caught up on work. Other times, I would do laundry and prepare dinner to allow her to cuddle with her baby and relax. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development. Currently, I am a graduate student getting my Master's in Nutritional Science. This means I am ready and willing to cook up healthy, tasty meals and I love to stay active. It also means my weekends and evenings are free. I have two and a half years left before I become a Registered Dietitian, so I would be reliable for quite some time. I am fun and energetic and have a wonderful time with children. I am also responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented. Furthermore, I love animals (especially horses!) and have no allergies.
