I am relocating to LA area after having owned, lived on, and managed an organic Permaclture farm in Hawaii. My experience with children includes raising and home schooling my daughter, now 22 and attending graduate school. Ours was a Waldorf household--growing and preparing organic food, making crafts, involved in play groups. We practiced Continuum Concept, LeLeche and minimized use of electronics. I created a curriculum for homeschooling from grade 5 through high school. I have been trained in Non Violent Communication NVC (Marshall Rosenberg), Reevaluation Counseling, self defense, first aid and senior lifesaving. and have experience in mediation. I have had experience with a wide range of ages and situations , including calming colicky infants, consulting with troubled teens, working as a camp counselor, and helping families with several children, including being a live-in nanny for three children (ages 2-11). I have also been an advisor young interns working on Read more my farm for the past 12 years. I'm a clear communicator and a great listener. I do what I say I will do, and take the initiative to do what needs to be done. I am interested in a live-in position, but I am also willing to be available on short notice as a substitute nanny, housesitter or petsitter.
