Hello, My name is Brianna, I am currently living in California and working in a preschool but am planning to relocate to the Virginia/DC area this summer so that I can attend graduate school in the fall. The school year at my current school will be over June 13th and I could start with you as early as the 14th. I have worked with teens, adults and children from infancy to middle school in many different ways including teacher, social skills teacher, camp counselor and after school caregiver. In all of these age groups I also worked with both typically developing and special needs individuals. I am currently first aid and cpr certified for infants, children and adults. Much of the work I have done with young and school age children has had an emphasis on the importance of the outdoors and natural materials. I am a big proponent of Read more allowing children to experience natural materials, I love that it allows children to be creative and to use their imaginations. I also believe and use emergent curriculum and learning in planning activities for the children, meaning I plan activities based on the interests and passions of the child. I also do a lot of work with individuals to promote independence, I will be studying Occupational Therapy and one of the reasons why is because I believe everyone should have the opportunity to feel fulfilled and independent in their own lives.
