As a mother and grandmother, I've done it all. For my granddaughter, I took care of her full-time from infancy to age 5. I taught her to read, swim and play tennis. Was her tennis mentor for 10 years. Took her to parks, libraries, museums--everything to enhance her physical and mental capabilities. We continued in this fashion until she got into high school. I would give her writing assignments every time we went to a sports venue or museum. She became an excellent writer I laid a firm educational foundation for Michelle. She was in Advanced Placement classes in English, or Language Arts , as it is now called. She recently was give the President's Education Awards Program for Outstanding Academic Excellence, signed by President Obama, the U.S. Secretary of Education and her high school principal.
