Meet Marissa

  • Comfortable with pets

My name is Marissa. In the past, I have had experience with kids, age ranging from 2-14. I have had one previous job as a nanny. I took care of four kids: a 5-year-old boy, a 10-year-old boy and a set of 13-year-old girls. While working for this family I picked the kids up from school, helped with homework, took them to sports practices, did light housekeeping, prepared and served dinner to the kids, and bathed the kids when it was needed as well as getting them to bed. Aside from that I currently help/fill in for my cousin at her home based child care. I'm a college graduate with my A. A. in Social and Behavorial Sciences; I have 12 ECE units varying from child psychology to family, child and the community. For the past two years, I worked as an instruction aid at Jackson State Preschool. I now Read more work at Safari Learning Academy in Sonora as a preschool teacher and administrative assistant. I also currently work as a respite care provider, which gives me the opportunity to work with my cousin who is autistic. I enjoy be able to work with kids and help them to learn. I am a very out-going, nurturing person when it comes to working with kids, but will be structured when told to. I am CPR/First Aid/AED.
